On June 3, the Marlboro Central School District Board of Education recognized Thomas Corcoran as the recipient of the 2019-2020 Distinguished Friends of Education Award. This Ulster County School Boards Association program allows each Board of Education in Ulster County to select a member of the community to be honored for their service to the school district. (The awards were suspended last year due to the pandemic.) In addition to serving as an Ulster County legislator and Town of Marlborough building inspector, Corcoran has been deeply involved in the Marlboro High School Baseball program and the Youth Football League. He is known for both his incredible coaching ability and his endless generosity.
