Former Times reporter battles Leukemia

Posted

The community has come together to support Scott Gregg, a reporter with the Mid Hudson Times during the early 1990s, who was recently diagnosed with Acute Leukemia. In addition to the devastating news of his diagnosis, Scott’s health insurance coverage is set to cease at the end of this month, leaving him with the heavy burden of shouldering the employer’s contribution to his health insurance, in addition to the $500+/month he is already paying. And he no longer has any income.

In light of these circumstances, Scott’s family and friends have launched a fundraiser to help pay for the additional COBRA costs for his medical insurance over the next few months. This fundraising effort aims to support Scott as he undergoes debilitating treatments and hopes to return to employment and a full life in the future.

“We are asking for help from the community to help our brother, Scott, during this challenging time. Anything you could do to support him would be greatly appreciated,” said Cynthia Lanzetta, the fundraiser’s organizer.

Checks should be made out to Scott Gregg and sent to: Cindy Lanzetta, 198 Reservoir Road, Marlboro, NY 12542.
