Have a hankering for fishing? The Southern Catskill Anglers will be hosting its annual Family Fishing Day on October 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Village of Pine Bush; the address has yet to be posted, and anyone interested in joining must contact the club at scanglers@gmail.com.

Participants will need to pay a $7 fee, and in return, they can enjoy an afternoon of fishing and a free lunch. Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level, and the club will be happy to lend equipment and provide assistance if needed.

“Anyone can attend, even with no experience or equipment. We have poles, hooks, some bait and lures to borrow. Our members go around and help all those who need help fishing!” said Donna Schirrman, one of the club’s head officials.
