It’s time to announce winners of the Walden Community Council’s Annual Home Decorating Contest for 2021! Judging was on creativity, originality and artistic endeavors. Be sure to get out to see all the beautiful and creatively decorated houses throughout our Village. First place winners were Mr, and Mrs. Kevin Delmonico at 66 Sherman Avenue. The soccer field with the blow-up characters were unique and their front yard with lights on the tree were beautiful.

Second place was awarded to Mr.and Mrs.John Stella at 190 East Main Street. The placement of the lighting and arrangement of the decorations were festive.

Mr. and Mrs. Michael McCormack of 66 Gladstone Avenue were the third place winners. Their decorations and lights gave a cozy, warm glow.

Sandy Magill thanks Desiree Diaz and Julie Bagnarol for their assistance with the judging. She thanks Ginny Neidermier for assisting with the entry forms at the library, and thanks Jodi Lynn for posting the contest on Facebook. Everyone’s help was deeply appreciated. She also sends wishes for a New Year filled with good health and happiness.

Family and friends are ready to send Happy Birthday greetings to Gladys Christina Plate’ on January 1. Also special wishes for a Happy New Year! Enjoy it all!
