On Monday, December 13, City of Newburgh Historian Mary McTamaney received a certificate of appreciation on behalf of Mayor Torrance Harvey and the city council for her work on the rededication of the Robinson Mausoleum in the Old Town Cemetery. The rededication ceremony for the Robinson Mausoleum took place on Veterans Day and after 20 years, those remains came back to the city.
“I don’t do what I do for applause, I don’t do what I do for paper,” McTamaney said. “I do what I do because I come from here.”
