“Cops ’N Bobbers” returns April 27
The Town of Lloyd Police Benevolent Association (PBA) proudly presents the 3rd Annual “Cops ‘N’ Bobbers” Youth Fishing Tournament set to reel in excitement on Saturday, April 27, at Berean Park, Highland In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for Sunday, April 28.

Registration kicks off at 8 a.m., with the official fishing commencement at 9 a.m., and the eagerly awaited awards ceremony slated for 1 p.m.

Young anglers aged 15 and under are invited to cast their lines into the adventure, armed with their own tackle (limit: one pole per child). Don’t fret if you’re short on bait, it will be readily available onsite.

Prepare for the ultimate angling experience as the park’s waters are generously stocked with 300 trout! And here’s the “catch” - no fishing license required!

Join the fun, reel in the thrill and stand a chance to win exciting prizes at this delightful community event hosted by the Town of Lloyd PBA. Mark your calendars and make a splash at the Cops ‘N’ Bobbers Youth Fishing Tournament!

Plattekill Fire Department Auxiliary to host Pasta Dinner
The Plattekill Fire Department Auxiliary is gearing up for a delectable fundraiser, inviting the community to join them for a Pasta Dinner on Saturday, April 27, from 4 - 8 p.m. at the firehouse, 50 Old Firehouse Road, Plattekill.

The menu will include salad & bread, spaghetti with meatballs and sausage, dessert, and beverage. Admission is $12 for adults or $10 for kids 12 and under.

Old School Italian Delights at St. Augustine’s School Feast

Tea party to benefit Friends of the Marlboro Free Library

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 4, as the festivities commence from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the picturesque Stoutridge Distillery & Winery, nestled at 10 Ann Kaley Lane, Marlboro.

Guests can anticipate an afternoon filled with tea, light refreshments, melodious tunes, and exciting raffles. Fancy hats are encouraged to add a dash of flair to the affair!

Marlboro FD to host pancake breakfast
Savor the flavors of a delightful morning feast at the Pancake Breakfast hosted by Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1. Set your alarms for Sunday, May 5, and make your way to the Marlboro Firehouse at 14 Grand Street.

From 7:30 to 11:30 a.m., indulge in a scrumptious spread featuring pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, juice and coffee.

Admission is open to all, with donations greatly appreciated to support the efforts of the Marlboro Hose Company No. 1.

Clintondale FD presents boating safety course
New York State emphasizes water safety with its upcoming free Safe Boater Course scheduled for May 11, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Clintondale Fire House, 1063 US-44, Clintondale.

Aimed at motorized boaters, this initiative is part of a statewide mandate requiring all boaters to obtain a safe boating certificate by 2025. The course, which covers essential boating skills and promotes courteous behavior on the water, is especially crucial for those born after Jan. 1, 1978, who must possess a boating safety certificate from 2024 onward.

All You Can Eat Pasta Dinner at Modena Fire House

Indulge in a delightful culinary experience this Mother’s Day weekend at the Modena Fire House. On Saturday, May 11, 4 - 7 p.m., join us for an extravagant All You Can Eat Pasta Dinner, promising a feast fit for the whole family.

Located at 1953 Route 44/55, Modena, this event offers an array of delicacies including pasta, sausage, meatballs, salad, rolls, and delectable desserts. It’s an opportunity to savor the flavors of Italy right in your neighborhood.

Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for children ages 5 and up and for seniors aged 65 and above. Kids age 4 and under eat for free.

Registration to open for Marlborough Summer day Camp
Get ready for a summer of fun at the Marlborough Summer Day Camp, at Cluett Schantz Memorial Park! Registration is right around the corner, with sign-up days scheduled at the Town Hall.

Registration will take place Thursday, May 23, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, June 8, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Starting May 24, 2024, registration will also be available at the Town Hall Supervisor’s Office during regular business hours.

• Children aged 5 ½ and up to 13 years old are welcome to attend.
• Important: Children must have completed Kindergarten before camp starts, with proof of attendance (a report card) required.
• Camp runs for five weeks, from July 1 to August 2, with week 1 pro-rated due to the 4th of July holiday.
• The cost is $150/per child per week ($120 1 pro-rated), with an increased fee for non-residents and out-of-school-district children.

• Camp hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Registration guidelines:
• Bring completed forms, child’s Birth Certificate or Passport, report card (for Kindergarten proof), recent immunization records and medical records.
• Proof of residency is required.
• Payment is due at the time of registration (checks payable to Town of Marlborough; exact cash only).
• Only immediate family members can register their own children.
Measles immunization must be provided at the time of registration.
