Nina Postupack, Ulster County Clerk, is pleased to present the Kingston Guards Vintage Base Ball Club on Saturday, July 8, at the Matthewis Persen House Museum located at 74 John Street in uptown Kingston, at the corners of John and Crown Streets.

The Kingston Guards play “Base Ball” using the rules adopted in 1860 by the National Association and published in Beadle’s Dime Base-Ball Player. Visitors to the Persen House will have a chance to chat with the players, see vintage equipment and uniforms, and try their hand at catch just like it was done in 1860 – no gloves!
