Earlier today I participated in a vigil for ICE victims in New Paltz. I was holding my sign that said “Melt ICE with TRUTH”. A man in a car pulled out from the bank across the street and yelled “f------ illegals” towards me and the others in my vicinity. As he drove away, he shouted it again. His words were filled with anger.
I am uncertain why he was so angry and why he had the need to use such crude language. Does he feel betrayed by Mr. Trump or does he fear being wrong? Perhaps he finds the truth threatening? Those of us who were gathered together, could only wonder how he viewed the events of January 6, 2021?
