1. Making Seed Bombs (In Partnership
with Ulster County Recovery Agency)
Join us August 2 at 10 a.m. for this hands-on craft activity recommended for children K-5. Participants will have a blast learning about compost and pollinators, and creating small balls of clay embedded with wildflower seeds. As an extra treat, we’ll be reading the enchanting story “Compost Stew” during the event.

2. Summer Reading Program 2023 -
Ice Cream Social

For those who haven’t signed up yet, it’s not too late to join our Summer Reading Program 2023. Swing by the circulation desk to register for your passport and embark on a literary journey. Readers who complete their reading requirements will be treated to a delightful ice cream social!

3. Teen Tie Dye
Teens, get ready to unleash your creativity with tie-dye fun! Bring your plain t-shirts or other items to transform with a burst of colors. The Teen Tie Dye event, July 28, 12 - 1 p.m. promises to be a lively and artistic experience.

4. Play Mahjong
Mahjong enthusiasts of all levels are invited to join us July 27, 12 - 2 p.m. for a friendly gathering. Bring your own Mahjong Cards and be ready for an engaging game. Beginners are welcome, and advanced players are encouraged to be supportive and helpful to fellow participants.

5. Debbie Auer-Breithaupt
Old Hollywood Portraiture
Witness the captivating art of Debbie Auer-Breithaupt, a NY resident and second-career artist. Her masterful works in acrylics and watercolors skillfully portray innocent subjects and strong women with mythological and fairytale themes. Experience the enchantment of her art, which aims to soothe and inspire the human spirit. This event takes place on Friday, July 28.

6. Crafts To Go: Happiness Rainbow Craft
Children of all ages are invited to partake in the Happiness Rainbow Craft on July 29. Registration is required, and limited kits are available, so don’t miss out on this colorful and joyful crafting opportunity. Plus, we have a craft-themed book available for checkout to complement the crafting experience.

7. Crafts To Go: Friendship Bracelets Kit
Ages 8-12, get your creative juices flowing with the Friendship Bracelets Kit. Pick up your kit at the library and enjoy crafting your very own friendship bracelets using the included cardboard loom and yarn. Limited kits are available, so register now to secure your spot.
