The public is invited to attend a dedication ceremony in memory of Tony Falco. This special ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 10, at 1 p.m., at the Marlboro Nature Trail Trailhead, located across from St. Mary’s Church on Route 9W in Marlboro.

The Trail Dedication Ceremony serves as a tribute to Tony Falco, celebrating his life and the lasting impact he had on the community. Falco (1956-2021) owned Environmental Labworks, a water testing laboratory that designed and operated several water treatment facilities in the Hudson Valley. He is best known as the founder of The Falcon, a former button factory at the Marlboro Falls that became a popular music venue.

The Falcon became a mecca for jazz musicians and one of the Hudson Valley’s most prominent and diverse music clubs At its pre-pandemic peak, the Falcon featured music on two stages nightly, rotating art exhibits, the Avalon Archives Museum, two restaurants and a network of trails and decks overlooking Marlboro Falls.

In 2020, during the pandemic, he designed and built the Marlboro Nature Trail.
