Town of Lloyd police add the Neighbors App

Posted

The Town of Lloyd Police are excited to be joining RING’s (home security) “Neighbors” App in our efforts to connect with residents and improve the safety of our community. “Neighbors” allows you, the user, to share photos, videos and information related to local crime and safety incidents so fellow residents can stay informed.

The Town of Lloyd Police can view what local residents have posted publicly to “Neighbors” and can now chime-in with relevant updates or safety alerts to help residents stay informed. You do not need a Ring device to join “Neighbors”. Anyone with a smartphone can download the “Neighbors” App in order to receive updates and have the option to post photos or videos from any device.

Please spread the word and make sure to always report criminal activity or emergency situations directly to our department, the Town of Lloyd Police by contacting (845) 691-6102.

Lloyd Police Serving Community in all ways
Chief Janso bought and delivered 6 BBQ chicken dinners to our senior citizens in our town on our Project Care list and one to an unfortunate homeless man near our police station who was very humbled that we cared about him. We care about all our residents whether they are temporary, long term, permanent ,visiting or just passing thru.

Ulster County Food Fight

The Ulster County Food Fight is an annual food collection contest held in cooperation with twelve libraries throughout Ulster County from Wednesday, September 1 to Saturday, October 16. The “Foo d Fight” is part of the Great Give Back that is happening on October 16 throughout New York State.

The common goal is to “spread food all over Ulster County” by filling up the shelves of local food pantries and to putting an end to hunger in our communities. The library that collects the highest number of food items during this period wins the Food Fight and receives a winners’ certificate!

Help your library win the Food Fight with your donations of non-perishable (and non-expired) food items for local food pantries. It sounds like a messy fight, but this is a clean competition with other libraries in Ulster County.

The Highland Public library will be participating along with surrounding local libraries. Please contact your local library to find out what local food pantry they are supporting and all the details of how you can donate food items.

Thanks for your help in this worthy fight!
