The Marlboro Milton Seniors Club is collecting donations of school supplies to help local children prepare for the upcoming school year. Donations may be dropped off at the Marlboro Community Center, where club members meet Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

St. Mary’s Church
Please note that the St. Mary’s Church Food Pantry is open on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, not weekly.

The Father Hanley Council 7266 of the Knights of Columbus meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the parish hall. Anyone interested in becoming a member may contact Joe Lopiccolo at 917-657-8045.

Marlboro Free Library Summer Reading for All Ages
Children, tweens and teens are invited to pick up a fossil-themed Summer Reading Challenge at the Marlboro Free Library. Track your reading throughout the summer and return your completed reading log by Sept. 1 to earn prizes along the way.

Adults can participate as well. Through Sept. 4, pick up or download a “Gems of Summer” reading log and record the time you spend reading. For every three hours read, participants earn the opportunity to choose a prize. Readers may redeem prizes as they go or save their reading time to claim multiple prizes at the end of the summer. Once a reading log is completed, simply pick up another and continue the reading adventure.
Walking Club Continues

Join the Marlboro Free Library Walking Club on select Wednesdays — Aug. 12 and Aug. 26 — from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Meet neighbors while enjoying a walk outdoors. Meeting locations will be posted on the library’s online calendar one week before each session. To receive weather-related cancellation notices, RSVP at marlborolibrary.org.
