Rep Pat Ryan votes NAE/NO again

Posted

On July 15th Pat Ryan voted against HR 8595, the National Security, Department of State and related Programs Appropriations Act. Pat Ryan voted no. Only one House Democrat voted yes, Jared Golden of Maine. Apparently because this bill would continue to provide Israel with funding for security assistance. Israel is considered America’s ally. “The relationship between the United States and Israel is one of the closest in modern history, characterized by significant political, military, and economic support. The U.S. provides Israel with unprecedented military aid and has designated it as a Major Non-NATO Ally, which facilitates defense trade and security cooperation.”

Then back on July 22nd the House Stop Insider Trading Act HR 7008. This action is supported by approximately 80% of Americans, including Democrats and Republicans. The bill would stop members of Congress and their families from buying individual stocks while in office. 13 House Democrats voted YES but on July 22nd Pat Ryan voted against this bill.  I guess his poison pill was the fact that this bill also included some sections of the SAVE act which is meant to protect the integrity of our elections by preventing illegal migrants from voting in our elections.

Do you want your vote to be ignored because an illegal immigrant voted to oppose your views?
