School News
Marlboro High School students recently sampled locally grown, milled and baked whole wheat sandwich bread provided by Community Food Works. During the May 8 tasting event, students shared feedback through a sticker poll and general lunch period discussion, with comments including, “this is bussin’ and healthy” and “we would love this on the menu.” The bread was made with Hudson Valley-grown grains, milled in Hurley and baked by Bread Alone Bakery. School officials said student feedback helps shape future meal offerings.
Marlboro Middle School students participated in the annual Health and Wellness Fair on May 14, taking part in a range of educational and interactive activities. The event included “Class Connections” study sessions, anti-vaping presentations, health and fitness booths, impairment goggle demonstrations and a close-up look at local fire department equipment. District officials thanked volunteers and community partners for helping make the event a success.
Two Marlboro Central School District Board of Education members were recently honored through the New York State School Boards Association’s Board Excellence Recognition Program. Board President Antonia Uszenski received the Level 3 Board Mastery Award, while Vice President James Mullen earned the Level 2 Board Excellence Award for their leadership and dedication to public education.

Weekly Recipe
No-Bake Orange Creamsicle Pie
Ingredients
1/2 (3-ounce) package orange flavored gelatin
1/3 cup of boiling water
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1 (8-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (9 inch) ready-to-use graham cracker pie crust
1/2 cup drained, canned mandarin oranges in water, patted dry
Directions
Whisk orange gelatin and boiling water together in a medium bowl until completely dissolved and slightly cooled, about 2 minutes. Whisk in orange zest and juice until combined. Set aside. Whisk cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth. Gradually whisk in gelatin mixture until smooth.
Whisk in 1 1/2 cups whipped topping until smooth and no lumps remain; refrigerate creamsicle filling uncovered, until partially set and slightly thickened, about 30 minutes.
Pour filling into graham cracker crust and spread evenly. Cover and refrigerate until set, at least 4 hours or up to overnight. Before serving, spoon the remaining 1 1/2 cups whipped topping over the orange layer and spread into an even layer. Arrange mandarins decoratively over the top, sprinkle with zest, and serve.
