Weekly Recipe
Slow Cooker Glazed Pork Chops Camille G
Ingredients
Pork Chops (4 bone-in, thick cut)
Yellow Onion (1 large, thinly sliced)
Dark Stout Beer (1½ cups)
Brown Sugar (⅓ cup)
Dijon Mustard (2 tablespoons)
Salt & Black Pepper
Instructions
Prepare the Slow Cooker Base Lightly grease your slow cooker. Spread the sliced onions evenly across the bottom. This creates a flavorful bed that prevents sticking and slowly infuses the pork with sweetness.
Create the Signature Stout Glaze In a bowl, whisk together stout beer, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard until fully combined. Add salt and pepper. This mixture forms the rich braising liquid that will later transform into a thick glaze.
Assemble Everything Place pork chops over the onion layer. Pour the stout mixture evenly over the top, ensuring all pieces are coated in the sauce.
Step 5: Slow Cook to Perfection Cover and cook on:
LOW: 6–7 hours
HIGH: 3–4 hours
The pork should become tender, juicy, and infused with deep flavor.
Reduce into a Glossy Glaze Remove pork chops and keep warm. Transfer liquid to a saucepan and simmer for 10–15 minutes until it thickens into a rich, glossy sauce.
Finish and Serve Return pork chops to the glaze or plate them individually. Spoon generous amounts of sauce and onions over the top before serving.
