Joseph L. Buckley, of Cornwall-On-Hudson,entered into eternal rest on July 3, 2026 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Fishkill, NY. He was 82 years old.
The son of the late Joseph Buckley and Agnes (Lavery) Buckley, Joseph was born on October 20, 1943 in Teaneck, NJ.
Joseph was a retired Manager for AT & T in White Plains, NY. He was a 40-year member of Sterling Forest Fire Company and a 10-year member of Southern Shores, NC Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter: Moira E. Buckley; and by his son: Brian J. Buckley. He is survived by his beloved wife: Maureen A. (Cahill) Buckley at home; by his sons: Kevin J. Buckley and his wife Jill of Lords Valley, PA and Sean P. Buckley and his wife Melissa of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY; by his 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Joseph was also predeceased by his sisters: Agnes Ann Steffens and MaryJane Haines.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, NY.
