Sixty years ago, on August 28, 1963, I was in the crowd to hear Martin Luther King, Jr., say that he wished his children - and all people - be judged by the quality of their character, not on the color of their skin. His oration literally sent shivers down my spine. Racially, things are better but not all the way. We are still struggling for women’s rights, political honesty and treating people equally. There is still a long way to go.
