The 18th annual Heart of the Hudson Valley Bounty Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3, showcasing agriculture, businesses, attractions and community organizations from Marlborough and surrounding communities.
The family-oriented event will be held at Cluett Schantz Memorial Park, with a rain date of Oct. 4.
The festival will feature farmers market vendors, food, arts and crafts, children’s activities, live entertainment and demonstrations. Family fishing and a petting zoo will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Scheduled entertainment and activities include:
•A 10 a.m. opening ceremony by the American Legion.
•Marlboro High School Chamber Choir at 10:15 a.m.
•Spina Bifida Walk-N-Roll at 11:30 a.m.
•Sheriff’s Department and New York State Police K-9 demonstrations from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., respectively.
•A circus show from noon to 1 p.m., sponsored by the Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library.
•A Spina Bifida raffle drawing at 12:30 p.m.
•Beacon School of Rock from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
•Madeline’s Dance Center performances from 2:30 to 3 p.m.
•Grupo Folclórico de Poughkeepsie Latin dance from 3 to 4 p.m.
Food vendors will include Empanada O’Nada, Two Dogs Hot Dogs, Christina’s Frozen Treats, Snack Shack, Mary Jane’s Dairy Bar and Katie Rose Bakery. The Ladies Auxiliary will offer breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. for vendors and beginning at 11 a.m. for the public.
The Heart of the Hudson Valley Farmers Market will feature Hepworth Farms, Locust Grove Fruit Farm, Quimby Farms, Quartz Rock Vineyard, Joan’s International Spices, Pancake Hollow Sugarworks and Vines & Hives.
Other vendors will offer arts, crafts, jewelry, specialty products, health and wellness services, and information from civic, nonprofit and school groups.
The festival also will include children’s face painting and crafts, music, raffles, contests, prizes, games and other family activities.
The Spina Bifida Walk-N-Roll, presented by Byram Healthcare, is a family-friendly one-mile walk that raises funds and awareness for people with spina bifida and their families. The event is organized by the Spina Bifida Association of New York State.
