Photo provided The Wallkill girls tennis team celebrated Senior Night in style, defeating FDR to clinch the Mid-Hudson Athletic League Large School title. The championship marks the Panthers’ fourth MHAL crown in the past five years. Leading the way for Wallkill were the doubles teams. Gabby Morales and Miranda Padilla earned a 6-1, 6-1 win over Nicol Arpah and Bryana Nieves at first doubles, while Hailey Pushman and Taylor Dawes won 6-1, 6-0 over Kasey Lagana and Bethany Cirone at second doubles. At third doubles, Emma Forester and Mikki Carson prevailed 6-0, 6-1 against Georgia Fullard and Lyla Duffy. In singles play, FDR’s Brooklyn Parker topped Ellie Fragetta 6-1, 6-2, and teammate Brooker Liberta defeated Audrey Meyer 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
