Newburgh City Council approved a resolution for the city manager to execute a license agreement with the City of Newburgh Industrial Development Agency to gain access to properties on West Street. In conjunction with the executed agreement, the council also approved Howard A. Weeden, PLS, P.C. to conduct land surveying, in the amount of $24,000, for 17 parcels.

According to Assistant Corporation Counsel Jeremy Kaufman, the city currently has ownership over 14 of the 17 identified parcels. The remaining three parcels are under IDA ownership. The listed properties would potentially be considered for redevelopment but first, property boundaries would need to be identified. The only current structure was a former medical office building.
