Newburgh City Council approved to amend the 2023 Personnel Analysis Book on Monday, November 27. The resolution would add one Assistant Maintenance Mechanic position on a temporary basis in the Water Division.

The reason for this amendment was due to an employee of the department having been on an extended leave for some time, according to Water Superintendent Wayne Vradenburgh. The duties of the Assistant Maintenance Mechanic are to assist the Water Maintenance Mechanic with overall construction and other department mechanical and maintenance tasks.
