The Newburgh Free Library will host a ribbon cutting for its two brand new community spaces, the Local History Resource Center and the Tech Hub on Thursday, April 27 at 11 a.m. The event will take place on the second floor of the library located at 124 Grand Street in Newburgh.

The library will be welcoming local legislators and leaders to officially open these new library spaces to the community. Anticipated funding, new program highlights and technology workforce development observations will also take place during the ceremony. The library is also proud to announce that it was the recipient of a $250,000 Consolidated Funding Application from the New York State Department of Labor. With the award, the library will be conducting a year-long series of free technology classes for all levels, at no cost, in the new Tech Hub. The new Local History Resource Center will showcase its permanent collection as well special highlights from the City of Newburgh urban archives.

Displays and light refreshments will be available, and the ceremony is open to all. RSVPs can be made to Robin at 845-563-3605 or rvalerio@rcls.org.
