On Friday, October 28 at approximately 12:46 p.m. the City of Newburgh Fire Department received a report of a structure fire with smoke coming from the building at 32 Robinson Avenue.
The first unit arrived on the scene at 12:48 PM and reported smoke coming from the rear and side of the structure. The seat of the fire was found to be in a mattress which was located in the living room of the residence. The bulk of the fire was knocked down by 1 PM.
The cause of the fire was the misuse of smoking materials. The building was turned over to the property owners.
