The Newburgh City Council approved a resolution for the city to enter into an agreement with the Greater Newburgh Parks Conservancy, Inc. for the 2023 Environmental Justice Fellow Program in the amount of $15,000. The agreement also includes additional work with the Conservation Advisory Council and Outdoor Promise, Inc.

The Environmental Justice Fellowship program, now entering its third year, is a designed program that recruits young adults from the city to assist in making the City of Newburgh a natural and greener city through community outreach and sharing resources on environmental priorities for the city.
