New Windsor celebrates Howl-o-ween

San Giacomo Dog Park on Saturday, October 28 in the Town of New Windsor welcomed dogs of all shapes and sizes as they celebrated their Howl-0-Ween Dog Costume Contest. The event was made possible through the town Recreation Department, Animal Control Officer Stacy Conley and Town Clerk Kelly Allegra.

The event, open to the public, was also the opportunity for the town to accept donations for The SPCA. Several needed items were paper towels, bleach and treats. Residents were asked to register in advance or call the town clerk’s office and to bring their dogs’ rabies tag and license.

Costumes for this year’s contest were judged in various categories that included Most Sporty, Pet-Owner Look-Alike, Funniest, Scariest, Most Creative and Best in Show!

Doggie Bags were awarded to the best costumed pets.
