Home business set for public hearing

Posted

The New Windsor Planning Board voted to set a public hearing and declared the project, Moreau Home Occupation, as a Type II action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR). The approval was issued during the meeting on Wednesday, March 8.

The proposed project seeks the conversion of approximately 302 square feet of the first floor of a residence into a hair salon to be operated by Victoria Moreau, Councilman Steve Moreau’s wife. According to MHE Engineering comments, the applicant will need to confirm hours of operation and if another employee will be working at the business. The conversion of the home would see Americans with Disabilities Act [ADA] compiled bathroom, parking space and ramp.
