Farmer’s Market returning to NW

The Town of New Windsor discussed the return of the town’s farmers market and their plans for the 2023 season during their work session on Monday, February 27. In October 2022, the Town of New Windsor held its inaugural farmers market at town hall with local vendors who brought fresh produce, cooked food, homemade goods and other items for purchase.

Councilwoman Sylvia Santiago, along with Recreation Director Matt Veronesi, Councilwoman Eve Lincoln, Keith Bedetti and the Buildings and Grounds Department helped make the first farmers market possible the past year.

Santiago said a survey was sent out to collect community feedback last year. The response was that they wanted to see the farmers market be held twice a month at the town hall. The tentative date to start would be Saturday, May 13 and it would run from May through October. Hours of operation would be 10 a.m. to 2p.m.
