City offers water plant tours

The City of Newburgh Water Department Superintendent Wayne Vradenburgh, invites you to its upcoming Water Filtration Plant Tour and Open House to see first-hand how water travels from its source to your tap.

The Water Filtration Plant tour begins on September 10, at 12 p.m. at 493 Little Britain Road, Newburgh, NY 12550. The tour includes a Q&A session with City Staff, a Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) treatment system tour, a Distribution tour, and a Lab tour. All interested parties should call the Water Department to reserve a spot at (845) 565-3356.

Participants will be treated to a tour led by the City of Newburgh Water Superintendent Wayne Vradenburgh and learn how the City of Newburgh Water Department provides City residents with water of the highest possible quality that meets all domestic, commercial and fire protection needs.
To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, participants must follow social distancing and face-covering policies.
