Carmen I. Acevedo, of Newburgh, entered into rest on Friday, April 10, 2020. She was 67.
Daughter of the late Margurita Ildefonso, she was born on July 16, 1952 in Santurce, Puerto Rico.
Carmen was a retired deli waitress with Price Chopper in Vails Gate, NY. She was also a member of the Church of God Central Newburgh.
Survivors include a son. Victor Rivera of the Town of Newburgh; a daughter, Stephanie Rivera, also of the Town of Newburgh; a brother, Hector Acevedo of Newburgh; three sisters, Elvira Ayala of Beacon, Maria Rivera of Schenectady, NY, and Norma Rivera of Puerto Rico; and three grandchildren, Marcos, Merari and Milca.
Private burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Plans for a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
