Armory hosts welcome ceremony

In a heartfelt tribute to their service and sacrifice, Vietnam Era Veterans and surviving family members are set to receive a hero’s welcome at the “Welcome Home” ceremony, presented by the Commemorative Partner, The Cemetery of the Highlands. The event will take place on May 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center located at 321 South William St., Newburgh.

The ceremony, scheduled to commence promptly at 11:15 a.m., aims to honor the brave men and women who served their country between November 1955 and May 1975, during the Vietnam Era. Surviving family members of these veterans are also invited to attend.

Organizers have arranged for light refreshments to follow the ceremony, providing an opportunity for attendees to gather, reminisce, and forge new connections. Interested participants are asked to call 845-928-9122 or email info@cemeteryofthehighlands.com.
