Vincent J. Rush, Sr., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on August 3,2026. He was 91 years old. Son of the late William and Adelia (Swim) Rush, he was born in Marlboro, NY, on November 28, 1934.
Vincent served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957. After his discharge, he became an inspector for the West Point Motor Pool.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, John Rush of Highland Falls, Debbie Armstrong and her husband, Kevin, of Stony Point, NY; Helen Chillingworth of Middletown, NY; and Catherine Muller and her husband, Chris, of Fort Montgomery, NY; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Dani, Kevin, Kimberly, Katie, and Steven; and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Vincent was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Ann Marie Rush, and his son, Vincent J. Rush, Jr.
Visitation was held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, at William F.Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Highland Falls, NY. A burial of cremains will take place at a later date.
Cremation will take place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium in Milford, PA.
