Pattie C. Kearns, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on July 16, 2026 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh, NY. She was 75 years old.
The daughter of the late Frank Carroll and Marian (Cuff) Carroll, Pattie was born on March 13, 1951 in Jamaica, Queens.
Pattie was a retired Nurse with Community Health Plans in Poughkeepsie, NY.
In addition to her parents, Pattie was preceded in death by her daughter: Erin M. Kearns in 2019. She is survived by her loving husband: Dennis J. Kearns at home; by her daughters: Kelly E. Kearns and son-in-law Tom Rourke and Larissa Goncalves and her husband Rafael; by her son: Ryan P. Kearns and his wife Jessica; and by her 9 grandchildren.
Pattie had a life well lived. She was a nurse in the Emergency Room, ICU and nursing education. She had lots of love and laughs with her husband, Dennis, of 54 years. Dennis recognized quality and correctly proposed after only two weeks of dating. They traveled, saw amazing things and ate the best food while they were at it. Pattie had a close relationship with her daughters Kelly and Larissa and granddaughters Colleen, Luisa, Gisela, Finley, Teagan and Grace and her son Ryan and grandsons Tom, Kevin and Liam. She was always down for coffee, thrifting, book shopping, the Beatles, swimming, sporting events and a good basket. Seriously, she loved baskets. Pattie’s greatest joy was being surrounded by all the chaos of a big family. She will be so, so missed.
Visitation was held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Chapel Service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20th at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, NY.
