William S. Deegan, a Lead Facility Technician for Verizon passed away at his home in Bloomingburg on February 5, 2022. He was 73.
The son of the late James A. Deegan and Julia B. Eckes, he was born on October 28, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY. William was raised in Glendale NY, and served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. For the past 30 years he spent his life raising a family in Orange County. He was retired from Verizon in Monsey NY.
An enthusiast of the outdoors, William was an avid hiker, traveler and camper.
A caring father and husband, he is survived by two sons, Edward and Andrew Deegan, and wife Mary Fitzpatrick. A loving brother to Grace Balantic, Thomas Deegan and Patrick Deegan. Donations can be made in his memory to the Pine Bush Area Public Library, Pine Bush.
