William J. Harrigan of Montgomery, a retired pharmacist, and a longtime resident of the area passed away on January 7, 2021 in Middletown.  He was 76. 

Bill was born in 1944 in the Bronx, the son of the late Muriel and John Harrigan. Along with his brothers John and Peter, he grew up in the Bronx. He graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. After returning home he went to Fordham University, College of Pharmacy and graduated in 1972. 

Bill married the love of his life, Margaret in 1969 and they adopted three sons, Joseph, James and Daniel.

For 48 years, Bill worked as a pharmacist in various places in Orange County and was very happy serving the patients of CVS, Warwick for the last 17 years until retiring in 2020. 

Bill was an avid reader and enjoyed trips to casinos in Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Las Vegas. 

Friendships with Chris Rampe, John Fallon and Art Corrado, helped Bill enjoy his life. He was predeceased by his two dogs, Doc and Mugsy. 

Visitation will be 2-5pm on Sunday January 10, 2021 at the Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY.  

A funeral Mass will be on Monday January 11, 2021 at 11 am at Holy Name of Mary/Assumption Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery. Father Matthew Reiman will officiate.

In lieu of flowers it is requested that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516, www.woundedwarriorproject.org
