Two things can be true at the same time.
I cannot disagree with the list of accomplishments of Brian Maher as stated in last week’s letter. Each constituent has different experiences and priorities for their elected officials. I cannot relate to most of the small business owner’s reasonings but I do have my own compliments for Brian Maher. He is young, ambitious and his history proves he cares about our veterans and our community.
This is why I believe he should have never been fooled by someone he has worked so closely with. This is why I believe he is the one who perpetrated the political attack. Yes, that’s what it was.
I am worried that his ambition is going to continue the party over country mentality so prevalent in our politics today. I am disappointed. I thought my vote was given to someone who would always research and use his many contacts to represent all of us. I am now concerned that he might be ignoring other very important information because his republican party wants him to.
I was convinced that Mr. Maher could hold his own. This voter needs to learn I can trust him again.
So, two things can be true at the same time.
