Trump’s hypocrisy on steroids

I am not surprised by the hypocritical lengths Trump is willing to reach to make a buck to help pay his mounting legal bills. Now he is selling “God Bless the USA Bibles” inspired by Lee Greenwood’s patriotic ballad. That song is now played as Trump enters the stage at his campaign rallies. He is selling the bibles for $59.99 each. Trump is putting his ‘snake oil’ salesmanship to work. He has an online video promoting the sale to malleable-minded people who would be foolish enough to buy a bible from a man who is morally, legally and ethically bankrupt. He was found guilty of sexual assault against E. J. Carroll, he no doubt will be found guilty of hush money payments made just before the 2016 presidential election to porn star Stormy Daniels and ex-Playboy model Karen McDougal in exchange for their silence of having extramarital affairs with him. No wonder Trump is on his third wife.

They would buy a bible from a man who is a pathological liar and has been fact-checked for falsehoods reaching 30,000 in number years ago. That number has continued to rise stratospherically. Trump has no regard for the sanctity of life as evidenced by his inciting the January 6 insurrection leading to death and destruction while watching the riot unfold on his TV in the White House without any attempt to stop the violence. Then I think about Trump’s anti-vaccine, anti-science, anti-Fauci stances during the Covid-19 pandemic and the American lives that could have been spared had he, as president, been a champion in the battle against the deadly viral plague instead of its greatest ally.

Then I think of Trump’s disparaging remarks about our men and women in uniform; how he said our soldiers who served in Vietnam were “ stupid and suckers, “ dishonoring their service to country and the memories of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, fallen in battle. I think of Trump, the draft-dodger with the 4F permanent military exemption, in an interview with radio jock Howard Stern when he said avoiding sexually transmitted diseases was his personal Vietnam.

Trump’s hypocrisy has no bounds ! He is the absolute antithesis of all that is holy in the very bible he holds with raised hand in his sales pitch. The Good Lord should shock his hand every time he touches a bible. If not for the large number of impressionable cult minds leaning on his every word, Trump’s bible sales pitch would be pathetically laughable!
