VC boys and girls lose at Minisink

The Valley Central boys’ and girls’ track and field teams each suffered losses to the Minisink Valley Warriors on April 16 at Valley Central High School in Montgomery.

Both teams lost by identical 86-55 scores.

Derek Vincent (110-meter hurdles, long jump, triple jump), Aaron Frias (400-meter hurdles), and Brayden Johnson (shot put) picked up wins for the Vikings boys.

Valley Central also won the 3,200- and 400-meter relays.

Catherine Primavera (100-meter dash, 200-meter dash) Sarah DelPilar (1,500-meter run, 3,000-meter run) and Mackenzie Lennon (triple jump) picked up wins for the Viking girls’ team.

They also won the 400-meter relay.

Pine Bush boys and girls defeat Middies
The Pine Bush boys’ and girls’ track and field teams both picked up wins over Middletown on April 16 at Pine Bush High School.

The boys’ team won the meet, 93-48.

Joshua Dymond (shot put, discus), Plexico Brooks (triple jump, high jump), Nathan VanDeben (pole vault), Nicholas Burgess (100-meter dash, 200-meter dash), Paul Rosario (800-meter run), Jaden Robertson (400-meter dash), and Nicholas Fermanian (3,200-meter run) picked up wins for the Bushmen.

Pine Bush won the 3,200- and 400-meter relays.
The girls’ team picked up a 109-31 win.

Jayla Breland (shot put), Jessica Sheeley (discus), Madison Williams (long jump, triple jump), Ella Galloway (pole vault, high jump), Lillian Gabriele (1,500-meter run), Shaylen Goslar (800-meter run), Elysia Jackson (400-meter dash), Mackenzie Gula (400-meter hurdles and Hannah Pawlowski (3,000-meter run) picked up wins for Pine Bush.

Pine Bush won the 3,200- and 1,600-meter relays.

Wallkill boys and girls win
The Wallkill boys’ and girls’ track teams both defeated the Rondout Valley Ganders on April 16 at Wallkill High school.

The boys’ team defeated the Ganders, 96-36.
Jason Collazo (100-meter dash), Evan Bridsell (200-meter dash), Gifford Austin, III (400-meter dash), Josh Craypo (800-meter run), Mario Verruto (3,200-meter run), Finnian Reuter (400-meter hurdles), Uriel Wright (long jump), and John Post (high jump) picked up wins for the Panthers, who swept all three relays.

The girls’ team picked up a 79-53 win.

Emma Dilemme (400-meter dash), Caitlyn Murphy (800-meter run, 1,500-meter run, 3,200-meter run), Lailani Gaston (100-meter hurdles), and Elena Sindt (high jump) picked up wins for the Panthers.

They also won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter relays.
