Town of Crawford picks service club liaison

Posted

Community Service groups in the Town of Crawford will be seeing a new face assisting in organization and communication. Pine Bush resident William Cronin was appointed Service Club Liaison at the Crawford Town Board meeting on April 21st. He is volunteering his time to help better the communication between service clubs and groups in the Town of Crawford.

“I saw an opportunity for improved communications with service organizations, so I jumped at the opportunity and discussed ideas with the board. I’ve seen several chances for organizations to work together to achieve goals together, but there wasn’t anybody to coax them into working together, so I hope I can help,” said Cronin.

Cronin is looking to lend his assistance wherever it seems fit. With many groups in the Town of Crawford, there will be no shortage of options. Community events, senior assistance, youth programs, Jewish family services, and several other programs will be seeing the help of Cronin very soon.

“The first step I’m taking is identifying the groups in the community and seeing what they need. For example, something like the rotary club, or anything non-profit, I’m planning to start speaking with the representatives soon to get a better understanding of how they work, so I can help in the best way possible. It’s all about networking,” explained Cronin.

Overall, Cronin will be helping groups achieve their goals wherever and whenever he can, along with aiding them in communicating more efficiently with each other, possibly even bringing certain groups together to work simultaneously on one project.
