Please consider contacting your New York State assemblyman and your New York State senator concerning NY Emergency Rule 2.13. This rule essentially allows the NY Health Dept. and the Governor to imprison and incarcerate, for an indeterminate length of time, anyone they consider a health risk.

Suspending the Writ of Habeus Corpus is something that has not happened since the Civil War. It is the wrong solution. Please request that your senator and assemblyman petition the Governor to withdraw this rule. It is currently in the process of being appealed to the NY Court of Appeals. In all likelihood it will be blocked because it is a violation of Constitutional rights. This would be in agreement with a lower court ruling.
