The New York State Police and the Town of Crawford Police Department announce the arrest of a 14-year-old male from the town of Wallkill for Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd degree.  He was issued a Family Court Appearance Ticket and released to the custody of his parents.  The male is a student at Pine Bush High School.

The arrest was the results of an investigation at the Pine Bush High School on April 26.  At 12:30 p.m.. Orange County 911 received a call for a shooter in the school.  Numerous law enforcement agencies throughout the county responded and quickly determined that the call was unfounded.  The investigation revealed that the 14-year-old student called 911 using another student’s cell phone and reported a shooter was in the school.  It was determined that there was no threat to the students or public.  The New York State Police and the Town of Crawford Police Department were assisted by numerous law enforcement agencies, fire departments and EMS throughout the county.
