Stanley D. Freer (Butch) of Wallkill, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, in Newburgh. He was 79.
The son of the late Stanley W. Freer and Marie (Hanke) Freer, he was born March 8, 1944 in Wallkill.
Butch worked as a foreman for the NYS Department of Transportation in Newburgh, NY. He was President of the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club for 40+ years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed stock car racing.
Survivors include his wife Joyce (Jolivette) Freer, son William Freer and wife Sherri, son Richard Freer, grandchildren Katherine Freer and Melissa Freer,sister Marie Weed, brother Richard Freer
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Ellen Warren
Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 1 to 3 pm with a service at 3:30 p.m .at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden6.
Cremation will take place privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Loaves and Fishes Food Panty, Wallkill.
