Jessica Lauren Rios, 32, of Pine Bush, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday December 7, 2023 at home.
The daughter of Bernadette Perry, step-father Robert Perry and Father Jose Rios, step-mother Aileen Reyes. Jessica was born on April 8th 1991 in Brooklyn, New York. Jessica was a graduate of Port Richmond High School in Staten Island, NY and Lincoln Technical Institute in Queens, NY in 2014.
As a woman, she pioneered a career of 10 years in the mechanic industry working on large trucks at E. Tetz & Sons and more recently at Mavis Discount Tire for 8 years. She started as an auto-technician and grew into a store manager. She continued to work hands on with cars during her time as manager as her passion for automotives never waivered.
Jessica enjoyed traveling across the country to train and offer her expertise to other people in the industry. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and contribute to the community in and outside of her career. The life of the party, Jessica was constantly cracking jokes making other people laugh and smile. A music lover, she was an avid listener of all genres, her favorite band being old Paramore. Jessica was a huge animal lover and adored her three pets that she treated as her children. Close to her family, she was a caretaker and loved to give gifts and provide help to those she loved whenever needed.
She is survived by her siblings, Brandon Pumarejo and Mercury Batignani, Grandmother Migdalia Figueroa, as well as her 3 fur babies Yoda, Bonky, and Harley.
Jessica’s wake will be held this Thursday December 14, at William M. Gagan Funeral Home from the hours of 5pm to 9pm. Services will be offered at 8:30 pm at the Funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc.
