The terrorist attack of October 7, 2023 on Israel by HAMAS has resulted in 700 deaths, and counting. That is 700 dead out of approximately 9,300,000 million Israeli citizens. The USA population is 333,000,000; over 35 times the population of Israel. Statistically, a terrorist attack on the USA resulting in a similar murder rate for our nation would result in over 25,000 dead Americans.

The HAMAS attack did not differentiate between military and civilians. The dead are women, children, seniors and soldiers. Put simply, HAMAS, the dictatorship ruling Gaza, is a terrorist organization. For those arguing Israel’s treatment of Gaza is the cause of this terrorist act, consider HAMAS has never wavered in its intent to “obliterate” Israel and kill every Jew living there.

Last, anyone thinking HAMAS was capable of executing this attack on its own is a fool. HAMAS is a terrorist organization controlled by Iran. Simply, this attack was an act of war by Iran on Israel and Israel has the right, and responsibility, to respond in kind. For those suggesting otherwise, consider the USA response if Iran sponsored a terrorist attack on our nation resulting in the death of 25,000 Americans.

On September 11, 2001, the attack on the World Trade Center resulted in the loss of 2983 Americans. On a strictly statistical basis, that is less than 12% of the number of Americans that would have been murdered in a terrorist attack of the scale of the HAMAS attack, sponsored by Iran, on Israel.
