Geraldine Stella (Quick) Snowman fell asleep in death on 12/14/21, surrounded by her loved ones at her daughter Cindy’s home. She was born 1/24/35 to Charles Quick and Stella (Vandermark) Quick in Rifton, NY. After the untimely death of her parents she was raised by Camille and Emily Bateu in Rosendale She retained fond memories of her childhood there.
On 5/30/53 she married James V. Snowman Sr. of Cornwall, who preceded her in death in 2018. 65 years was not enough.
The youngest of 10 children, and the last remaining, she had a deep love for her siblings and their children. We share our sorrow with the Quick, Petrillo, Cook, Martinez, Stickney, Freer and Sekel families who treasure her memory as well.
She is also predeceased by her sons James Snowman Jr. and Jeff W. Snowman.
She is survived by her children: Cindy and Victor Tobar, Elizabeth Snowman (McNamee), Howard and Angie Snowman, and Emilie Snowman (Zinser); her grandchildren: Karly Ann Coffin, Misty Ann Snowman, Victor and Allison Tobar Jr., Anthony and Kristy Tobar, Nicholas and Ariana Tobar, Matthew Tobar, and Victoria Tobar, Yolanda Pieniazek, Jeffrey M. Snowman , Liam McNamee and Erin McNamee, Amber J. Snowman, and Autumn Zinser; as well as uncountable nieces, nephews, cousins and several great grandchildren including the latest, Luke Manolo Tobar who always brought light to her eyes. Not forgotten are Guillermo and Patty to whom she will always be “Mom”.
In 1960 Gerri was contacted by Jehovah’s Witnesses who shared a wonderful hope from the Bible with her. Baptized on 12/22/62, it was her strong faith and the great love for all of the “Brothers“ and “Sisters“ she became close to throughout the years that strengthened and sustained her. Special thanks to each and every one of you for your love and kindness.
