One person was seriously injured last Thursday in a propane tank explosion at United Orchids on Route 17K in Bullville.

Several fire departments and first responders from Orange and Ulster County were deployed to handle the emergency, including the Bullville Fire Department, Maybrook Fire Department and Howells Fire Company.

The United Orchids worker, whose identity has not been disclosed, reportedly suffered severe burns and is in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
