David J. Cordner of Wallkill, a lifelong resident of the area passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, in Wallkill. He was 61.
The son of Howard and Barbara (Joseph) Cordner, he was born September 9, 1960 in Cornwall.
Dave grew up in Walden, NY and devoted his life to his family, friends and business. Starting with Strawridge Rock & Tape in 1999, he operated several successful businesses.
One of Daves biggest accomplishments was being a father. He had one daughter (Stephy) and she was his world. As a child she called him a superhero, even as an adult she still sees him this way.
Dave was always active and surrounded by great people he loved. Most weekends he was traveling to his home in Florida for a quick vacation, going to the races or just cruising around on his trike. Wherever life took him he was always smiling.
Survivors include his loving daughter Stephanie Cordner; loving companion Diane Finn, brothers Kent Cordner and wife Lisa, Steve Cordner and Erin
Nieces Kayla Diaz, Sophya Diaz, Jessica Cordner and Kara Cordner
Nephews Shawn Cordner and Alyx Diaz
He was predeceased by father Howard Cordner, mother Barbara Cordner and devoted friend Deanna Decker (Chicky)
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, October 30th, 10 a.m. -12 p.m. at Goodwill Church, 2135 Route 208, Montgomery, NY 12549.
A service will follow at 12:30pm, at the church.
