Daniel Paris Downing of Pine Bush, went to be with the Lord Monday, January 10, 2022. He was born May 20, 1968 in Dover, New Hampshire. He is the son of Anne Paris Koblich and the late Richard Spence Downing.
His family moved to Grand Island, NY where he graduated from Grand Island High School, class of 1986. He is a graduate of Niagara University, class of 1990.
An avid outdoor person, he enjoyed fishing, boating, hiking, shooting clays with Trafford and, tending to the trout-filled stream on his property.
Daniel was Senior Vice President of Retail Lending for Walden Savings Bank.
A loving husband and devoted father, Dan is survived by his wife Corine (Papasidero) Downing, his son Trafford Downing, and his mother Anne Koblich, his sister Susan (Steve) Nielsen, nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held by the family.
As Sr. Vice President of Retail Lending, Dan helped many in making their dream of being homeowners a reality. In his honor, a fund has been established by the Walden Savings Bank Board of Directors for the purpose of supporting Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh. Memorial contributions in Dan’s name can be made to Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, cfosny.org-Donate-Support a Specific Fund.
