Councilwoman Brown, a true public servant

Posted

I know Montgomery town councilwoman Kristen O’Dell Brown lost the GOP primary back in June. However, she is running to keep her board seat under the ‘ Integrity First ‘ party label and will be in Row F on the ballot in the upcoming November 7th general election. She is an excellent member of the Montgomery town board. In the past I have watched her conduct herself at board meetings. She always makes it a point to do her due diligence to properly address issues that come before the board; she asks the pertinent questions directed at applicants who have projects for the board’s consideration. Councilwoman Brown rightly gives weight to those municipal matters that best serve the interests of town residents. She is an ardent steward of our public tax dollars in exercising fiscal responsibility.

Kristen meets the four criteria that pass the qualifications litmus test to serve as a public official: She is competent, conscientious, compassionate and committed.

Unquestionably she is a substantial asset to our township. Our community needs her voice on the town board. If reelected, she will continue to give real meaning to the word ‘ public ‘ in public servant. A vote for Councilwoman Brown is indeed a vote for integrity.
