Clifford Balogh, a long-time resident of the area, passed away quietly at the Valley View Nursing and Rehab Center in Goshen on Thursday, January 26th. He was 93. 

The son of William and Mary Balogh, he was born April 5, 1928 in Harrisburg, PA. Cliff was a graduate of Walden High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a life member of the VFW Post 2946 in Walden and was employed by International Paper and the U.S. Post Office until he retired from both.

Cliff loved sports and was an avid softball player. He managed several softball teams throughout the years and later turned to golf in retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Reaney Balogh at home, daughter Verayna (Jeffrey) Miller of Montgomery, son Blair (Julie) Balogh of Milford, PA and three beloved granddaughters - Lauren Miller, Hallie Balogh and Avarie Balogh, one sister, Irma Stinchcomb of AZ and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 5 brothers.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff in "Homestead" at Valley View, for Cliff's excellent care.

Visitation and a brief service will be held at the Millspaugh Funeral Home in Walden on Thursday, February 3 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. 

Burial will be private. 

Memorial contributions in Cliff's name can be made to Town of Montgomery Ambulance, PO Box 25, Walden, NY 12586.
