Audrey Sevits

Audrey Sevits, age 78, passed away at her home in Dayton, Texas on January 22, 2023, with her family at her side.  Born in Middletown, New York on January 16, 1945, she was the daughter of Edward R. Barton and Helen E. Decker Barton.

Audrey is survived by her sons, Richard Sevits and his wife Tolla of Dayton, Texas and Jason Sevits and his wife Debbie of Reno, Navada.  She will be missed by her large circle of friends in the greater Town of Montgomery area. She was predeceased by her parents.                

Audrey grew up in Pine Bush and resided for many years in Walden.  She graduated from Pine Bush High School and attended Cortland State College.  Audrey was a Tupperware salesperson, a bank teller, a furniture salesperson and a community habilitation specialist working with individuals with disabilities.

Audrey had many interests and hobbies including reading, quilting, creating greeting cards, and playing and never losing at Trivial Pursuit.  She had an avid interest in the British Royal Family, loved all animals especially dogs and cats, was a staunch METS fan and loved watching the big tennis tournaments.  Audrey was a member of the Walden Red Hat Society and the Walden Seniors, enjoying their meetings and special outings.  Audrey was a connoisseur of Mexican food.  She walked many miles on the Walden/Wallkill trail with her friends.

Arrangements were private with no visitation.
